According to Levan Giorgadze, the Director of SOCAR Georgia Petroleum, at 89 petrol stations across Georgia, farmers are enjoying the benefits of the agro-diesel assistance program. Giorgadze stated this during a visit to Shida Kartli together with Ilia Tamarashvili, the head of the Rural Development Agency, and Nugzar Samkharadze, the Deputy Representative of Shida Kartli.
Nationwide, diesel will be delivered according to the established schedule: from February 1 to March 31 - more than 2,000 liters of fuel will be delivered, from April 1 to April 30 - an additional 1,500 liters, and from May 1 to December 31 - the remaining amount.
Discount cards are issued remotely. The program provides farmers with fuel discount cards (150 liters of fuel on 1 hectare of land and a maximum of 15,000 liters for more than 100 hectares of agricultural land).
The program is implemented based on a memorandum signed between the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture and SOCAR Georgia Petroleum, and no budget funds are spent on it.
