As reported by the National Bank of Georgia, the assets of the Georgian commercial banks (by current prices) increased by 3.89 bln GEL, or 8.42% in March 2020, compared to February 2020.
On April 2020, the assets of the commercial banks totalled 50.13 bln GEL.
The share capital of the banking sector includes 4.98 bln GEL in total, representing 9.94% of the entire assets of the commercial banks.
As of April 1, 2020, there are 15 commercial banks in Georgia.
Fourteen out of them have foreign funds in their authorised capital.
