From January through April this year, Azerbaijan exported about 39,666 tons of oil bitumen worth $7.15 million, Report. az informs, citing the country's State Customs Committee.
During the reporting period, the share of petroleum bitumen in the country's total exports was 0.11%.
From January through March 2021, Azerbaijan exported about 28,000 tons of oil bitumen for $4.667 million. Azerbaijan reduced the production of bitumen by 17.8% in January-March 2021.
Azerbaijan proves to be Georgia's major bitumen supplier.
In March 2021, Georgia imported 4.2 thous tons of bitumen from Azerbaijan, which is 84% of total imports. In January-February 2021, 84.6% or 4.4 thousand tons of petroleum bitumen was imported from Azerbaijan.
