In January-October 2021, electricity production in Azerbaijan increased by 1 billion 554.4 million kWh and amounted to 22 billion 855.8 million kWh. The Azerbaijani media spread relevant information based on the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan.
During the reporting period, electricity generation at thermal power plants amounted to 21 billion 458.6 million kWh (+ 1 billion 394.8 million kWh), on hydropower plants - 11 billion 08.9 million kWh (+ 162.5 million kWh), from other sources (wind farm, solar power plant, and BZSTBO) - 288.3 million kWh (- 2.9 million kWh).
Wind power plants generated 77 million kWh, solar power plants - 48.5 million kWh, and solid waste incineration plants - 162.8 million kWh.
In January-October, Azerenerji generated 23 billion 504.3 million kWh of electricity, the State Energy Service of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic - 379.1 million kWh, independent power plants - 1 billion 915.7 million kWh, Azerishiq wind power plant - 56.7 million kWh.
