Over the past four months, Azerbaijan produced 8,383 million kWh of electricity, which is 1.3% more than the same period last year, the State Statistics Committee of the country reveals. Azerbaijan has produced 8,123.8 million kWh commercial electricity, which is 1.4% more compared to a year earlier.
Of this, 427.7 million kWh fell to the production of hydropower plants (+ 28.1%).
Thermal power plants produced 7,652.4 million kWh, showing a 0.3% increase compared to the first four months of 2020.
During the reporting period, wind power stations generated 29.9 million kWh of energy, 11% less than in 2020.
In January-April, the country produced 13.8 million kWh of solar power plants, 7.8% more than in January-April last year.
