In January-February 2021, Azerbaijan exported 404 million kWh worth $16.1 million.
According to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan, compared to the same period last year, the country's exports this year increased by 7.85%, although revenues from electricity exports decreased by 9.9%. Energy export made up 0.6% of Azerbaijan's total exports, 4.9% of non-oil exports.
During two months, the price of the energy exported by Azerbaijan stood at $0.04 or AZN 0.07 for one kWh, which is 13% less than a year earlier.
