According to the National Banks' statistical data, in January-April 2021, a total of $27.7 mln was transferred from Azerbaijan to Georgia, which surpasses the last year's transferred amounts by 3.2. In April only, remittance inflows from Azerbaijan to Georgia grew by 3.8, reaching $9.1 mln.
According to TBC Capital's economic review, remittance inflows from Azerbaijan have shown a high increase in Georgia in March 2021. Cash inflows from Azerbaijan have grown by 207.6% and 145.2% from Ukraine. Remittance inflows from Azerbaijan, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan have shown the highest increase in Georgia in March 2021.
Also, remittance inflows from Azerbaijan to Georgia have shown a triple growth (18.6 mln transferred in remittances) in the first quarter of the current year if compared to the first quarter of 2020.
