In January-April 2021, Georgia purchased 499.2 mln kWh electricity from Azerbaijan, the data by the Electricity Market Operator of Georgia show.
According to the data, annual power exports from Azerbaijan to Georgia have shown a 22% increase. Georgia met 29.41% of its citizens' power requirements over the first four months of 2021 thanks to Azerbaijan.
In January and April 2021, Georgia imported a total of 1,697,3 mln kWh of power. Over the first four months of the current year, Russia supplied Georgia with 1,037 mln kWh, and Turkey with 161.2 mln kWh.
