''We do everything to protect our population, not to have a deficit of face masks or medical equipment, and we do it with support of the local business, via the Produce in Georgia program,'' Georgian Economic Minister Natia Turnava said.

She visited Favourite Style enterprise in Tbilisi that has been producing bio-medical uniforms, protective shields, glasses and disinfectants since 2020.

In her words, the company has launched creating the virus-protective face shields, and the government allowed the company to export them.

''There is a high demand for the shields in the US, Ukraine and many other countries,'' Turnava said.

The company fulfils the state orders and export the product to the US, Estonia and Ukraine.
