Following the 2019 Open Budget Survey (OBS) conducted by the International Budget Partnership (IBP), Georgia has accumulated 81 points out of 100 for the state budget transparency.
The new rate lags behind the indicator of the 2017 survey with one point.
Certain amendments in the methodology of evaluating several issues by the International Budget Partnership caused the change.
A total of 81 points helped Georgia still be fifth in the ranking (like the 2017 survey) among 117 countries preceded by New Zealand, South Africa, Sweden and Mexico.
