In the first half of 2020, Georgia exported power to Turkey (51.8% of total exports), Armenia (38.4%), and Azerbaijan (9.9%), the international consulting and analytical organization Galt & Taggart reports.

Following the report, the novel coronavirus pandemic also affected the export of electricity.

"Due to the low demand for export markets and falling prices, electricity exports in the first half of 2020 fell 42.7% year by year. The country started exporting electricity at the end of April," the report says.
