Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Natia Turnava held a meeting with Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Georgia Abdullah Al-Mutairi.
They discussed trade and economic cooperation between the two countries and other issues.
The Georgian party showed interest in concluding a free trade agreement with the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Persian Gulf.
The officials emphasized that, despite the growth in trade between Georgia and the member states of the Council, in recent years, the existing potential has not been fully used, and there are more opportunities for the development of bilateral trade.
Turnava and Al-Mutairi also highlighted the positive dynamics between Georgia and Saudi Arabia in trade and investment.
They said the countries are working on the draft Agreement on the Promotion and Protection of Investments.
