Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava visited Tbilisi International Airport to observe the preparation process for the safe resumption of flights.

Head of United Airports of Georgia Tamar Archuadze and Civil Aviation Agency Levan Karanadze also visited the airport.

The airport operator, TAV Georgia company, has already met all safety requirements inside the airport building. It installed disinfectant devices and video-scanners.

Stickers marking distance were installed at the arrival and departure terminals, and check-in counters were equipped with protective shields.

As Economic Minister Natia Turnava stated, Georgia plans to host international visitors starting July 1.

''The infrastructure and international airports must meet all international and safety standards," Turnava stated.

She hailed the TAV Georgia company to ensure a high level of safety in the airports.

''We confirm again that Georgia is a safe destination," Minister Turnava claimed.
