Georgian Deputy Minister of Environment and Agriculture Giorgi Khanishvili visited the Shida Kartli region and observed the conduction of the program providing farmers with agricultural diesel on discount.
"Those involved in the government program included in the anti-crisis plan can enjoy the discount on diesel, and it is vital to support," Khanishvili claimed.
As Director of SOCAR Georgia Petroleum Levan Giorgadze says, as part of the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture of Georgia's project, farmers will be able to purchase diesel at SOCAR petrol stations.
The government will issue fuel discount cards at Public Service Halls and regional offices of the Agriculture Minister of Georgia, as well as in municipality advisory centers.
Starting on May 27, the cards will also be available at the Liberty Bank branches.
As part of the government anti-crisis plan, natural and legal entities owning land plots (officially registered) of at least a 0.25-hectare area will enjoy diesel discounts.
