Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia, Minister of Environment and Agriculture Levan Davitashvili, and Kakheti Governor Irakli Kadagishvili visited the vineyards in the village of Mukuzani, Kakheti region, to observe the Mukuzani Wine Factory operation.

As PM Gakharia said, vineyards, grapes, and wine are of the highest importance in Georgia.

In his words, the vine is an integral part of Georgian culture and a unique symbol of ancient traditions.

He says winemaking makes a considerable contribution to the economy of Georgia, so the government will do everything to assist the industry.

The Georgian government allocated 300 million GEL for the anti-crisis plan to support villages and farmers.

As Gakharia says, farmers will be completely exempt from irrigation payments in 2020.

Giorgi Gakharia wished the local producers a plentiful harvest, adding that this would benefit not only the farmers but strengthen the economy.
