As assigned by Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia, the economic team of the Georgian government, officials of the National Bank of Georgia and analytical organizations have examined the economic outcomes of the novel coronavirus pandemic and main topics of the post-crisis plan, developed by the Georgian government.

Prime Minister's Economic Advisor Beka Liluashvili chaired the video conference.

The topics of discussion included essential issues such as additional measures to the post-crisis plan to support tourism; facilitation of construction-developing sector and large business; supporting foreign direct investments and development of corporate governance in the private sector, as a post-crisis instrument.

The analysts, engaged in the meeting praised all the measures taken by the government.

They will present their recommendations to the government in the nearest days.

As Georgia's National Bank reported, several additional tools are available that make it possible to reduce current interest rates.
