"The trend of seasonal employment in neighboring countries, popular with our people, can be largely replaced by employment in Georgia. It confirms that the current agricultural trends are quite positive," Minister of Environment and Agriculture of Georgia Levan Davitashvili stated.
In his words, new employment opportunities are emerging in agriculture.
"The region of Kakheti is relevant today with an opportunity for seasonal employment. The harvesting process is underway in the region, for example, peaches. Approximately two thousand people have got involved in the process,'' Minister Davitashvili said.
In his words, the residents of Georgia's coastal region of Adjara frequently left for Turkey's seasonal work.
''New employment prospects are emerging in different parts of the country. In autumn, we will see vintage in Kakheti. We will need the workforce in the Shida Kartli region as well," Davitashvili stated.
