''If we detect violated safety requirements, we will take measures based on the level of a potential threat,'' the official website of the government of Georgia reads.
According to the government, the measures include different sanctions for toy sellers, including suspension of the sale, giving instructions, recall, and destruction of products if toys consist of dangerous chemical mixtures.
As reported, the check will be carried out before the toys are allowed to market.
The check includes visual and laboratory control.
The government of Georgia approved a regulation prepared following the EU directive on the safety of toys at the government session.
The Economic Ministry will carry out control across the entire country.
