Inflation in the United States has risen to a nearly 40-year high mark, Bloomberg news agency writes.
In particular, according to the publication, there was a sharp rise in consumer prices in November in the US. The index grew by 0.8% in a month and by 6.8% throughout the year.
For comparison, such figures were last recorded in 1982 - 7.2%.
Increased prices have affected petrol, housing, food, and cars.
