A deal on the establishment of the Kazakh-Georgian Cultural and Economic Association was signed between Georgia and Kazakhstan.
The deal includes collaboration in the fields of investment, trade, tourism, and the cultural and social sector.
The document refers to the preparation of the charter of the organization, the development of a strategy, the organizational structure, the management of the association, and the rule of admission of members.
The goal of creating the association is to provide a legal, informational and marketing support to the members of the association - Kazakh companies/investors acting in Georgia and Georgian companies/investors working in the Republic of Kazakhstan, and facilitating the interests of both countries and deepening cooperation between Georgia and Kazakhstan.
The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Georgia participated in the deal conclusion ceremony.
"Kazakhstan perceives Georgia as one of the promising trade and economic partners in the central and western Transcaucasia. Investments in energy projects, involvement in the banking sector of Georgia, transit access to the Black Sea, cooperation in agriculture, tourism, and medical and preventive fileds are of mutual interest," Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Georgia, Baurzhan Alimuly Mukhamedzhanov declared.
Eight companies are the deal signatories:
- Halyk Bank Georgia;
- Batumi Oil Terminal;
- Rompetrol Georgia;
- AIR ASTANA Office in Georgia;
- Wagon GK;
- AlimWay;
- Barmaglot Tbilisi;
- Georgian Partners.
