President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that if Poland closes the border with Belarus, he is ready to close the transit of energy resources from Russia.
"When the Polish or someone else starts to "gag me," do you think I will start discussing contracts?" Lukashenko said, adding that Poland was hurting itself by closing the border.
"If I close the transit? Then what will happen? Let's see how they will buy energy carriers in Russia," Lukashenko said.
In mid-November, Lukashenko threatened Europe that it would close the Yamal–Europe pipeline and leave Europe without gas if Poland closed the border.
