According to a report published by the National Statistics Office of Georgia, the average salary of women in the first quarter of 2021 was GEL 1,022.9, while for men, it was at GEL 1 473.4. Accordingly, the salary of a man is 1.44 times higher than that of a woman.
The annual salary increase was GEL 62.5 for women and GEL 49.5 for men.
According to the types of activities, the salary of men in almost all sectors exceeded the salary of women.
