National Bank of Georgia warns customers

The National Bank of Georgia has issued a statement saying that unknown individuals have contacted citizens and asked them questions about their business transactions, and in some cases, they requested that they share their card numbers with them.

The statement says that the National Bank of Georgia does not make similar requests, and if similar instances occur, it notifies the corresponding bodies.

''In the event that you are asked for any information, you must be convinced that similar requests have a legitimate basis.

If you have further questions, contact us at 2 406 406,'' the statement reads.

The bank also informs that at its initiative, the Georgian finance sector has become part of the international tradition and launched a joint campaign for raising cybersecurity awareness, with cybersecurity awareness activities to be carried out together with Finedu and the commercial sector whole year.

Financial fraud-related information is available at the National Bank and the financial education websites.
