As Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia says, people should adapt to life with the novel coronavirus pandemic for a while.

He visited the Georgian region of Adjara to meet the employees of the tourist sector and delivered a speech there.

Gakharia focused on the importance of lifting economic restrictions.

''It seems we will have to live with the virus for a while,'' he said.

''We all should follow elementary safety rules that will enable us to help the country to develop, maintain jobs and host visitors, develop tourism,'' Gakharia said, adding we are obliged to do it for our country and people.

''Social distancing, face masks, and remote work will not be easy, but we will have to cope with it,'' Gakharia said, adding Georgia should be one of the countries that will launch gradual lift of tourism restrictions.
