The Cabinet meeting was held today. Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia started the meeting with the talks about the budget. According to him the joint work of the government resulted in balanced main financial document of the country.
According to Gakharia the budget deficit is 2.7%, which is fully in line with the International Monetary Fund program.
"We have a lot of challenges in the economy and coordination needs to continue. The challenge is GEL rate. The government and the National Bank must work together in accordance with the mandates and I am glad that the steps taken by the country's main Bank are right and timely", said George Gakharia.
