The Minister of Finance, Lasha Khutsishvili, said at a briefing after the government session that the Ministry of Finance will present a plan for regulating online casinos in a week.
"A completely different taxation model will be presented. There will be some changes to the introduction of a uniform age limit as well as a ban on advertising. This is a framework that has been tested in many countries in relation to this sector. This sector allows for strict regulation in every country," said the Minister of Finance.
Today, the Prime Minister, Irakli Gharibashvili, said before the government session that advertising for online casinos should be strictly regulated, and in the second stage, they should be banned altogether.
