SOCAR strengthens position in international oil and gas trade

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) intends to strengthen its international oil and gas trade position. Ibrahim Ahmadov, the deputy head of SOCAR's public relations and events department, revealed the information.

He said that an agreement was signed, which gives the right to supply oil products provided by Russia's state oil company Rosneft to Ukraine, Poland, the Baltic states, and other Eastern European countries: Rosneft petroleum export operator became SOCAR Trading. The agreement has already been signed. The new operator does not rule out the start of supplies this month and says it has a quota of more than 100,000 tons of diesel fuel and 12,000 tons of liquefied natural gas. SOCAR has set a minimum tariff of $ 30 per tonne for diesel transporters from Gomel. As for liquefied natural gas, its transit prices have not been named yet, as there is less demand at this stage due to excess supply in the market.
