The Tbilisi City Assembly has approved the 2022 budget which stands at GEL 545 mln. Tbilisi Vice-Mayor Irakli Khmaladze presented a draft bill.
In Khmaladze's words, out of GEL 545 mln, GEL 305 mln has been channeled into the budget, while the rest is loans, which is at GEL 240 mln.
The vice-mayor also expanded on the new projects to be launched in 2022 and elaborated on what the loans would be spent.
''We will spend GEL 100 mln to purchase metro trains, 60 mln on the construction of new automobile bases, and GEL 20 mln on the rehabilitation of the first and second automobile bases. GEL 20 mln will be allocated for the smart traffic light project, GEL 30 mln for the modernisation of the waste infrastructure, and GEL 8 mln on the Dighomi Meadows,'' he stated.
