Estonian, Lithuanian and Latvian angel investors have reportedly visited Tbilisi. The visit aims to promote Tbilisi's investment potential by attracting investors and creating further investment opportunities for local businesses. 

Within the framework of the two-day visit, the first meeting was held at Stamba Hotel, at which deputy Tbilisi mayor Andria Basilaia was present. 

Mr. Basilaia stressed that Emerging Europe ranked Tbilisi first on the list of countries with promising economic potential. Also, in his words, Tbilisi tops on the list of FDI Intelligence Future European cities cost-effectiveness rating. 

''In our view, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia have set a good example for Georgia, showing it how its economy can be developed. We aim to facilitate advancement of the private sector by attracting investments and creating new opportunities,'' Andria Basilaia said. 

Within the framework of their visit, angel investors will meet local technology business representatives, hold panel discussions, workshops, presentations, and so on.

At the event, they will discuss Georgia's startup ecosystem, investment opportunities in the technology business, pre-acceleration, and acceleration programs, with its crucial part being pitch days (brief presentations) set to be held on 24 June. 

Pre-registered technology companies will enjoy the opportunity to present their investment projects before foreign and Georgian investors to attract financial resources.
