As Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze has declared, Tbilisi City Hall will not accept the restoration of the Budapest Restaurant at Vake Park instead of the Budapest Hotel.
The authority offers the investor to carry out the project in a different area.
''We are ready to replace the area with a different land plot if the investor wants it,'' Kaladze said, adding the Tbilisi City Hall plans to renovate the Vake Park.
He says the construction of a hotel or restaurant in the park is currently unacceptable.
''Tbilisi City Hall is an agency issuing permits. Therefore, we will decide whether to build anything there,'' Kaladze said.
The investor has offered Tbilisi City Hall to restore a restaurant instead of the Budapest Hotel in Vake Park, Tbilisi.
The project representative Goga Zakaidze said today the investor is ready to refuse the hotel construction.
He said the project team wants to restore the Budapest Restaurant, which was built in 1958, promising the green are will not be damaged during the restaurant construction.
