As head of the vehicle inspection bodies association Vazha Iordanashvili states, if drivers manage to relocate the wheel on the right side and pass technical inspection until April 1, 2020, they will have no problems to pass mechanical inspection in the following years.
The relocation of the steering wheel (and technical inspection) will be prohibited after April 1, 2020.
As Vazha Iordanashvili states, the vehicles that have the right steer wheel by the manufacturers will see no problem before or after April 1.
According to him, the steering wheel relocation will be banned on April 1, and the vehicles with relocated steering wheels will no longer pass technical inspection.
The vehicles with relocated steering wheels will move without any problem across Georgia until the restriction takes effect (April 1, 2020).
