''It was interesting to discuss the world tourism problems and possible outcomes with the UNWTO executive council team. Until the end of the day, we will develop the 'Tbilisi Declaration' on tourism developments for the following months. The sector experiences a crisis, and we should be ready to respond to challenges duly,'' UNWTO Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili told reporters after the first part of the executive council session ended.

In his words, Tbilisi's session is a message for the world that Georgia is safe to host tourists.

"From my point of view, all countries can continue living in a new way, following specific rules to develop tourism,'' Pololikashvili remarked.

Georgia hosts the UN World Tourism Executive Council session #112.

Georgian PM Giorgi Gakharia opened the session with his speech.

High-rank officials from Spain, Greece, Portugal, Romania, Saudi Arabia, and other countries participate in the UNWTO session.
