Scientists have found link between blood type and heart attack risk

Scientists have found out the blood type that affects the risk of developing a heart attack. The study results, which involved more than 400,000 people, were published by the American Heart Association.

According to the data, people with blood groups II and III have an 8% higher risk of developing this disease than group I. The experts also found that the chance of initiating the process of venous thrombosis and pulmonary embolism is 51% and 47% higher in group II and III blood carriers than in the rest.

People with blood type I are prone to higher blood pressure.

A similar study had already been conducted in 2017. Doctors based on an analysis of more than 1 million people have determined that a blood type can tell about possible diseases that a patient will encounter in the future. Diseases include heart attack.
