"There will be 126 new buses in Tbilisi. Tegeta Motors will deliver the 12-meter buses," Kakha Kaladze, the Mayor of Tbilisi said at the meeting of the government.
"You know that we were negotiating with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Funds were allocated for the 12-meter buses. Today I want to inform you that we have a winning company - Tegeta Motors," the Mayor said.
According to Kaladze, the production of buses will start in the nearest future.
Kaladze noted that the City Hall will not stop and not only replace the existing ones but also will purchase additional buses.
According to the Mayor, 90 passengers can fit into the new BMC-branded buses.
