Police arrested nine people in front of the Parliament last night.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the protesters are charged with Articles 166 and 173 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, which entails petty hooliganism and disobedience to law enforcement.
Zuka Berdzenishvili, Beka Kokaia, Beka Basilaia, and Romeo Parulava are among those detained. It is yet unknown when their trial will take place.
The cleaning service took tents located near the Parliament, including Malkhaz Machalikashvili's tent. Representatives of Tbilservice Group washed the area with water cannons and installed children's attractions and New Year decorations.
Representatives of the opposition parties and youth movements came to the scene to protest and tried to put out tents once again, which resulted in a confrontation with law enforcers.
