According to Amiran Gamkrelidze, the Director of the Center for Disease Control in the second week of January, people asking for consultations and cases of hospitalization increased.
"The flu season lasts until late March or mid-April. We should pay attention to all the recommendations made by the Center for Disease Control to prevent having a flue," Amiran Gamkrelidze said.
Gamkrelidze stated that 96,900 people are currently vaccinated against the flu, and the country still has sufficient supplies of vaccine.
There are 68 patients treated at the Iashvili Children's Central Hospital. According to the clinic, their condition is satisfactory, although there have been some complications with the diagnosis of pneumonia.
