According to Amiran Gamkrelidze, the Director-General of the National Centre for Disease Control and Public Health, two Chinese citizens admitted to the hospital today, who work on infrastructure projects in Georgia.

Both patients have respiratory symptoms and currently are in a boxed ward of the clinic.

There have been no confirmed cases of new coronavirus in Georgia so far. Gamkrelidze stated that Georgia remains in the "green zone".

The Director-General of the National Centre for Disease Control and Public Health said that the measures and steps that the country is taking are in full compliance with the recommendations issued by the World Health Organization.

"Coronavirus has not been detected in Georgia so far. As of Monday we are able to diagnose the virus. We did about 12 different tests in the country so far. These tests work very well," Gamkrelidze said.

According to the latest data, the number of those killed with the new type of coronavirus reached 633, with 30600 people infected. 1400 patients healed and left the clinics.
