"Mtavari Arkhi" TV presenter Giorgi Gabunia spoke about his mother, the iconic TV presenter Julieta Vashakmadze, who died in December 2020.
It was Gabunia's first air after his mother's death.
According to Gabunia, his father had a heart attack and was hospitalized.
"We didn't tell my mother what happened to him. She recorded that her husband had not returned home for a week. She was so worried that she fell ill and could no longer get up without help. She didn't want people to know about it. Therefore, until the very last moment, we also did not tell anyone that, in recent years, my mother had turned into a severe bedridden patient, and her condition worsened each time. I didn't say this even when she would not have been able to find out about it. In the last period, she no longer knew who we were to her; she did not recognize us. Anyone who has experienced such a thing knows what a hard feeling it is to know that your parent does no longer recognize you," Giorgi Gabunia said.
