2-year-old Anita Patsatsia has reportedly arrived in India. The plane landed a few minutes ago. The patient has been transported to the country in an air ambulance plane. Her parents said that they faced no complications during the flight. At this point, Anita is at the Chennai hospital and feels well.
Hundreds of supporters have kept an eye on the plane route on the internet. Little Anita left Austria for India, first landed in Dubai, and then headed to India.
The 2-year-old has been suffering from cardiomyopathy, a disease of the heart muscle, and she is in urgent need of a heart swap operation. Her condition worsened a few days ago. For the last few days, she has been in Austria; however, operating the girl there proved impossible, which is why she was eventually transported to India.
On December 17, Georgian Foreign Minister declared at the ambassadors' press conference that one of the clinics in India showed readiness to operate the child. The Minister called upon the Georgian Ambassador to India from the podium to immediately go to the country to personally monitor the issue of the 2-year-old there.
