"According to the decision of the Government of Georgia, Anzor Erkomaishvili will be buried at Mtatsminda Pantheon of Writers and Public Figures," Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili stated about it at today's government sitting.
The head of government once again expressed his sadness over the death of Anzor Erkomaishvili and expressed his condolences to his family, colleagues, and Georgia.
"Yesterday, Georgia lost a genius folklorist, Georgian folk music curator, and public figure - Anzor Erkomaishvili.
His merits towards Georgian culture are truly invaluable.
Anzor Erkomaishvili has dedicated his whole life to polyphonic folk music, our most precious treasure, and introduced the greatness of Georgian music and genes to the entire world.
Mr. Anzor's death is a loss; however, I believe the work he has devoted his entire life will continue through the generations he raised," said the Prime Minister.
