Two Georgian cities, Tbilisi and Batumi, were included in the ranking of the 20 safest travel destinations in Europe by European Best Destinations. They are in the top ten of the safest destinations in terms of COVID-19.
The European Travel Agency, an organization that unites millions of travelers, leading global media platforms, and tourism organizations consider Georgia as a safe country regarding the new coronavirus, naming Tbilisi and Batumi among the 20 safest cities to travel in Europe.
"Batumi is safe not only in terms of coronavirus, but also, the level of crime is five times lower than in the capitals of other European countries," says the organization's information.
Tbilisi ranks first in the ranking of the 20 safest travel destinations in Europe published by European Best Destinations.
