I will not start discussing whether the recordings are authentic, as I have not changed my position," Bera Ivanishvili said in his statement regarding the recently released covert recordings.
In Ivanishvili's words, his response to insults has remained the same.
"I will openly say that if somebody swears at my family or me, with the former being the most sacred and valuable for me, they will pay the price for it today too. Show me a Georgian man who does not think the same," Bera Ivanishvili said in his televised interview with Imedi TV.
In his words, the recordings were made in the summer of 2011, when he was 15.
On 6 March, TV Pirveli publicized the alleged phone talk between Bera Ivanishvili, Irakli Gharibashvili, and Anzor Chubinidze, in which Ivanishvili urges Gharibashvili to hold some persons accountable for their Facebook comment.
The Prosecutor's Office is now looking into the case of covert recordings.
