A 69-year-old man wanted by police and firefighters for several days was found dead.
Law enforcement officers found the body of the deceased in an irrigation canal.
Anzor Petrosyan, who lived in the village of Pshaveli, Telavi Municipality, left his house a few days ago and never returned. Villagers last spotted him on February 15.
The body will be examined at the Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau in Gurjaani.
As the Ministry of Internal Affairs told report.ge, the incident is being investigated under Article 115 of the Criminal Code, which stipulates leading individuals to suicide.
