The NCDC says that a total of 1,424 citizens of Georgia were vaccinated against coronavirus in the past 24 hours, with the total number now standing at 24,917. 

Vaccination with Pfizer started in Georgia on 30 March. In addition to medical staff, citizens over 65 were also enabled to be vaccinated from March 25. Later the age range reduced to 55. During registration, citizens have the opportunity to choose between the Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines.

Only citizens over 55 will take AstraZeneca shot in Georgia.

Georgia received 29,250 Pfizer vaccine doses on 25 March and 43,200 doses earlier on 13 March.
