"Today, Tbilisi City Court made an unprecedented decision. Due to poverty, the transfer of children into foster care and separation from the family was declared illegal, and the three affected children were awarded GEL 35,000 in compensation for moral damages. The children, two years ago, were illegally taken out of the house and mother by the social service without strengthening the family. The children lived under stress caused by being away from their parents for two years. This circumstance was considered illegal by the court, and the PHR claim was upheld. Judge Davit Tsereteli considered the case.
