According to information provided by the Clinical Director of NCDC, Marina Ezugbaia, most of the cases confirmed today are linked to Adjara.
She says that the recent data give hope that the situation is stable, and the infection will soon be localized.
“Yesterday, we had 3,406 confirmed cases. Today we have 196 more; the total number is 3,502.
These new cases are distributed as follows: 128 cases in Adjara, 30 – Tbilisi, 19 – Kutaisi, 6 – Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, 5 – Kvemo Kartli, 1 – Shida Kartli, 4 – Guria, 2 – Mtskhetamtianeti, and 1 in Kakheti. Thirteen more patients have recovered. Yesterday we had 1,481 recoveries, while today the number increased to 1,494. According to these data, we have 43 percent of recoveries.” – said Marina Ezugbaia.
According to Ezugbaia, the number of infected people placed in COVID Centers and hotel-hospitals is 1,981, out of which 836 are placed in COVID Centers and are under medical supervision. Fifteen patients are in critical condition; eighteen more are in complicated condition. The rest of the patients are of an average and light form of the disease.
