State security Service informs that doctor Vazha Gaprindashvili is free.
“Doctor Vazha Gaprindashvili, arrested by the occupational forces on November 9, is released. At the moment, he is on the territory controlled by the Georgian Central Government” - reads the statement.
According to the Director of Information and Analytical Department of State Security, Irakli Antadze, the health condition of Vazha Gapindashvili is normal.
Giorgi Kekelidze, the Head of Civil Coordination Group, created for Vazha Gaprindashvili case informed Report.ge that Doctor Vazha has not met with his family yet.
For the information: the de-facto Tskhinvali regime detained Vazha Gaprindashvili for illegal so-called “border” crossing on November 9.
The doctor did not recognize the accusation and repeated that he was on the territory of Georgia during the whole period of his detainment.
De-facto regime sentenced Vazha Gaprindashvili to 1 year and nine months of imprisonment on December 20.
