"Active communication with the population is important. For this purpose, I was in the Rukhi Republic Hospital. In the process of vaccination, it is important to activate rural doctors and communicate with the population," said Ekaterine Tikaradze.
The Minister also assessed the epidemiological situation and noted that along with vaccination, it is important for citizens to follow the recommendations issued by the Ministry of Health. According to her, it is too early to talk about the fifth wave.
Once again, the head of the agency called on citizens over 60 to get involved in the immunization process.
"The epidemiological situation in Georgia is stable, but it is important that citizens follow the recommendations issued by the Ministry of Health along with the launch of transport. The main risk carriers are citizens over 60 and patients with chronic diseases. Their vaccination is very important. The lethality rate in the country is high," Ekaterine Tikaradze said.
