Employees of "Rustavi Azot" went on strike. They are holding a protest rally near the administrative building of the enterprise.
Employees are demanding a salary increase. According to the protesters, back in 2019, the Minister of Economy Natia Turnava visited the enterprise and promised to increase salaries by at least 20%. Still, only part of the employees saw the rise in salary.
The protesters are demanding an increase by at least 35%, which the management of the enterprise, according to them, refuses. According to the striking employees, their salary does not exceed GEL 600.
Protesters have been trying to talk to the leadership since the morning, but no one has come to them so far.
The striking employees of "Rustavi Azot" say that the protest will continue in the future if their demands are not met.
