The condition of a 27-year-old nurse, who fell into a coma after being vaccinated by AstraZeneca, has stabilized but remains severe.
The nurse is currently in the intensive care unit, Lali Turdzeladze, the clinical director of the First University Clinic, told journalists.
"The patient was brought from one of the clinics in Akhaltsikhe last night. There was a strong allergic reaction - anaphylactic shock. The patient was in the worst condition upon entry; all studies were performed to determine brain function. The brain is still alive. Let's see what happens in 24 hours. The condition was serious, stabilization was achieved by late evening, and the patient was taken to the intensive care unit. The night was quite difficult. Levan Ratiani was here all night and was able to stabilize the patient by this morning.
The patient in sync with the device; blood pressure is regulated with the help of three medications. The condition is relatively stable in the morning, although it is severe. The patient is alive. Repeat examinations should be performed within 24 hours. Twenty-four hours will soon pass after injection. Let's see what will happen," Lali Turteladze said.
